Zlata Borůvková studied aesthetics and philosophy, art history and curatorial studies at the Charles University in Prague and the University J.E Purkyne, Ústí nad Labem from 2006 to 2011. Since 2015, she has held the position of curator and project coordinator at the Galerie Plus Minus Nula Zilina in Slovakia. She has also coordinated the project Nova Synagoga Zilina in Žilina, Slovakia, since 2016. Boruvka is a co-founder of the Baba Toure Cooperative.
As part of the scholarship, she curated the project Sharing is More Daring.
