Eleni Michaelidi

Eleni Michaelidi (b. 1983) is an art historian and curator based in Athens and Berlin. Her practice follows a transdisciplinary approach, with a focus on collaborative art practices, climate justice, and the concept of emergency in political theory and contemporary art. She has previously collaborated with the DESTE Foundation, the Bergen Assembly, the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig, and was 2018 Curator in Residence at the Salzburger Kunstverein. As 2023 Curatorial Fellow of the Cultural Foundation of Saxony (KdFS) she collaborated in the curation of the group collection-based exhibition Things that Were Are Things Again (May 2023 – Oct. 2024) and curated the exhibition The Word for Museum is Forest (Sep. 2023 – Jan. 2024).
