Panel Discussion: Repatriation in progress with descendants and experts from Tanzania

Descendants and experts from the Kilimanjaro-region in Tanzania will talk about their trip to Leipzig to visit their ancestors (human remains), personal belongings, and objects taken from their homeland during German colonialrule and now stored in the Ethnographic Collection Saxony (SES).
The panel discussion is part of the Repatriation Days – a series of events on repatriation andrestitution in November 2023, organized by Decolonize Berlin, ECCHR, Berlin Postkolonial and Flinn Works. This event will be held in English and will start at 5 pm until 6.30 pm.
