It’s getting criminal in the Wadden Sea! After the Dutch journalist and author Mathijs Deen has already written two non-fiction books about the Wadden Sea and the Rhine, he now has Liewe Cupido investigate in the German-Dutch border region. This detective is a loner whom his German colleagues call “Der Holländer” (The Dutchman), which is also the name of the first volume of Mathijs Deen’s crime series. Now follows the second part, “The Diver” (mare), in which the Dutch salvage ship “Freyja”, searching for a container in the German Bight, comes across a wreck that has been missing since 1950 and to which a dead diver is chained. This time Liewe Cupido’s investigations lead from a diving club on Terschelling to a flat burglary on Föhr and a family drama in Wilhelmshaven.
