The presentation of the award winners will take place at the GfZK, in connection to the BDI-Kulturkreis Leipzig’s annual conference. Simultaneously a retrospective view on the history of the ars viva award will take place. At first strongly tied to the reconstruction of the Federal Republik of Germany, the award has developed to one of the most important newcomer awards for contemporary art.
