Accompanying program to the collection exhibition Am Ende diese Arbeit between the curator Julia Schäfer and the artist Till Exit.
The founding director Klaus Werner had already purchased the work “Beyond II” for the GfZK in the mid-1990s – before the GfZK opened. Due to its size, however, the work has not been shown for over 20 years. In the following years further works were added to the collection of the museum. With “Space, Earth, Man” a work by Exit has been on permanent display for many years and the library has also been redesigned together with the artist. Exit’s works originate in the core of the past and refer to the future. We would like to find out how this works in conversation with Till Exit.
