In April, Dr Barbara Steiner invited the Friends of GfZK to a preview of the exhibitions Rhythm is a dancer by Christina Werner, Bodies in sync by Clément Cogitore and Die Geste spricht at Bauhaus Museum Dessau.
Before the opening, the director of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation gave an introduction to the three artistic concepts and reported on the challenges involved in realising the planned spatial stage in the foyer of the museum.
The artists Christian Werner and Clément Cogitore were personally present at the opening and gave insights into their work.
The exhibitions take up the theme of movement from different perspectives and emphasise the role of space, body and gesture in the Bauhaus’ holistic understanding of art.
