During the International Leipzig Festival Week for Documentary and Animated Film, the friends of the GfZK were invited to a preview tour with curator Lars Rummel of the DOK Neuland exhibition at the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig.
The XR exhibition “THX for Nothing” presents nine works and deals with the supposed contradiction between the accessibility of information about the conflicts of our time, such as climate change, persecution and flight and the simultaneity of entrenched structures and beliefs.
The exhibition plays with the idea that knowledge itself may have to change in order to open up options for action. It therefore uses immersive media as knowledge mediators to touch and move us differently because they make us directly involved.
