Olga Vostretsova graduated from the State University of Novosibirsk with a diploma in philology and cultural studies in 2003. She then studied for a master’s degree in curatorial cultures at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. As well as holding a teaching assignment in the field of art mediation at the University of Leipzig, she has been director of the producer gallery b2 and the HGB gallery. In 2018 she took part in a curators‘ residency at the Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral in Bad Ems.
In 2017/2018, Olga Vostretsova worked as a research assistant at the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle. After her time at the GfZK, she founded the art association Buekue (Büro für kulturelle Übersetzungen) in Leipzig, which still exists today. Vostretsova lives and works in Leipzig.
