Lenka Kukurová is an art critic, curator and activist, and works as a freelance curator. She is one of the curators of the Artwallgallery, which produces art in the public space in Prague and also works as a freelance curator for the Kunsthalle Bratislava. Kukurová works for several international non-profit organisations, including Amnesty International and Greenpeace.
Her work focusses on political and activist themes in contemporary art. Kukurova received her doctorate with a thesis on post-1989 Slovak and Czech art. Since her scholarship, Lenka Kukurová has lived and worked in Leipzig, Prague and Berlin.
As a part of the scholarship, she curated the exhibition Slowakische Mythologien (Slovak Mythologies) on the premises of the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic for Saxony and Thuringia, Dr. Albrecht Tintelnot.
