Airi Triisberg is an author, curator and art mediator. She works in the areas of political activism and contemporary art practice. Triisberg is concerned with issues related to gender and sexuality, sickness/health and disability, self-organisation and collective care practices. She also campaigns against precarious working conditions in the field of art and beyond.
Airi Triisberg teaches at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn and Aalto University in Helsinki. In 2015 she took part in the scholarship programme Europa gestalten – politische Bildung in Aktion (Shaping Europe – political education in action), which was organised by the Federal Agency for Civic Education in Germany. In February 2019, Airi Triisberg was an artist in residence at the HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme).
Airi Triisberg organised the series of events I Can’t I Have to Work … as part of her scholarship at the GfZK.
