Internship at GfZK

The internship serves as professional orientation and is aimed in particular at students, but also at others who are interested in working in the arts and cultural sector.

Duration: three months
Scope: 24 h / week

We offer:
Getting to know the work processes, editing the website, newsletter and social media channels, researching and creating press reviews, helping to prepare and organize events, developing and implementing marketing measures, career guidance.

We are looking for:
Interest in contemporary art, initial computer skills (Microsoft Office, text programs, content management, social media), fluent written and spoken German, good English skills, accuracy, creativity, ability to work in a team.

*Library*
Inventory and maintenance, data processing for institution-specific cataloging, research, and documentation of projects. Cataloging experience required. More information: Nicole Döll books@gfzk.de

*Art Education GfZK for You*
(currently there are no internships available in the art education department)
Conception and implementation of mediation programs in and outside the GfZK as well as their documentation and communication.
Scope: 25 h / week

We offer:
Insights into all work processes of the GfZK, from the development of concepts, research and application to the implementation of exhibitions and projects, contacts with artists, visits to local and national art and cultural institutions, career guidance.

We expect:
Interest in contemporary art and the art business
Independence, ability to think for oneself, reliability and organizational skills
Experience with text and image editing

Duration:
At least two months, preferably as a full-time internship.
