In this roundtable discussion, we will discuss migrant and Black realities in East Germany in the time before, during, and after the merger of the GDR and the FRG.

Aminata Cissé, co-founder of the post-reunification organization IG Farbig, member of Initiative of Black People in Germany (ISD) and founding member of Each One Teach One (EOTO). Aminata Cissé was already a Black activist during the GDR.
Emiliano Chaimite is co-founder of Afropa and a former contract worker. He is involved in the Ausländerrat Dresden e.V. and advises the city of Dresden. He is also co-chairman of the Dachverband sächsischer Migrantenorganisationen e.V.
Katharina Warda, Woman of Color, deals with the reunification and post-reunification period from a scientific-literary perspective. Since 2021, she has been a member of the advisory board of “Kein Schlussstrich!”, a nationwide theater project on the NSU complex.
Trong Do Duc is co-initiator of Postmigrant Radio. He moderates, curates, produces, and networks. Since 2019 he is co-organizer of the alliance #unteilbar in Leipzig and Dresden. He is also part of the network Solidarischer Osten and works activist in different postmigrant collectives.
