We welcome you to take part in our mediation programme for the exhibition Offener Prozess. Here, listening is understood as a political practice, remembering as a process. This exhibition calls for action to be taken!

Our mediators will be in the museum and ready to guide you through the exhibition on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 6 pm.

You can also make an appointment for mediation services in various languages, including German sign language, Vietnamese, English, Ukrainian, Turkish, free of charge. We will be happy to arrange a time that suits you and adapt the contents to your individual needs.

Our mediation services are suitable for school classes (from grade 8) and other interested parties. If required, we can even arrange for the GfZK to cover the travel costs for your group.

My reality vs. your reality?

In this roundtable discussion, we will discuss migrant and Black realities in East Germany in the time before, during, and after the merger of the GDR and the FRG.

We look forward to these guests:
Aminata Cissé, co-founder of the post-reunification organization IG Farbig, member of Initiative of Black People in Germany (ISD) and founding member of Each One Teach One (EOTO). Aminata Cissé was already a Black activist during the GDR.

Emiliano Chaimite is co-founder of Afropa and a former contract worker. He is involved in the Ausländerrat Dresden e.V. and advises the city of Dresden. He is also co-chairman of the Dachverband sächsischer Migrantenorganisationen e.V.

Katharina Warda, Woman of Color, deals with the reunification and post-reunification period from a scientific-literary perspective. Since 2021, she has been a member of the advisory board of “Kein Schlussstrich!”, a nationwide theater project on the NSU complex.

Trong Do Duc is co-initiator of Postmigrant Radio. He moderates, curates, produces, and networks. Since 2019 he is co-organizer of the alliance #unteilbar in Leipzig and Dresden. He is also part of the network Solidarischer Osten and works activist in different postmigrant collectives.

Dennis Chiponda and Tania Kolbe will lead through the evening.
