Exhibition Visit with Frédéric Bußmann: Ayşe Erkmen and Mona Hatoum – Displacements/Entortungen

With the exhibition Displacements / Entortungen, the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig is initiating a dialogue between the artists Ayşe Erkmen (Istanbul) and Mona Hatoum (Beirut). It is the first double exhibition of the two internationally known artists. Both Erkmen and Hatoum have developed artistic positions in which reflections on the specificity of a place and the associated social and political questions play an important role. We went through the exhibition with curator Frédéric Bußmann.
