Ten years after the fall of communism, many places are taking stock. The Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst is actively involved in this stocktaking. Under the both thoughtful and ironic title “New Life”, it invites eight Saxon and international artists/teams to Leipzig to develop art projects for the urban space. The artists themselves determine the locations for their works, thus opening up new and refreshing perspectives on the topography of the city.
