We are pleased to present the multi-layered visual narratives of Neo Rauch which contain a remarkable mixture of temporal quotations and references. Rauch has, during the late nineties, moved into the leading class of the younger generation of German painters. The exhibition offers an overview of Neo Rauch’s complex oeuvre with particular emphasis on recent works. The concept for the first leg in Leipzig – the city the artist is based in – encompasses a predominant chronological evolution with occasional excursions.
Exhibits: about 40 paintings and one light-sculpture
