Tamara Grcic’s works are events. Events of colour, form, sound, movement and – as in the older works – sometimes of smells. In the here and now, individual aesthetic constants of sensation condense into complex moments of experience that are very strongly connected to reality. Moments of experience of existential states of mind arise, which are evoked by a gradual process of appropriation and simultaneous abstraction of reality. In this ambivalent state of suspension, the pendulum of affects does not remain weightless in the space-time continuum, but draws the viewer into a calculated whirlpool of experiences of authenticity.
